# CMP-10 — A node with tools wired to it must be able to receive them

## The rule

> **Normative.** This is the rule.
>
> 1. A node that has tools wired to it must be of a type that accepts tools.
>
> 2. Wiring a tool to a node type that cannot consume tools refuses compilation.
