# STORE-7 — Stored node metadata carries the type anchor and nothing else

## The rule

> **Normative.** This is the rule.
>
> 1. Storage constrains a node's `data.metadata` to a single key, `node_type_id`.
>
> 2. A node's `data.config` is unconstrained at storage: its shape is the node type's business and is judged by validation, not by the storage layer.
