# SCH-3 — One parameter schema splits into two derived schemas

> **Normative.** This is the rule.

> 1. A parameter belongs to the derived input schema if and only if it is `connectable`, and to the derived config schema if and only if it is `configurable`.

> 2. Both, one, or neither is legal.
